Expenses will fluctuate based on the number of cheerleaders. We have to estimate prior to a season how many athletes will be in the program - we rely on families assisting with Fundraising and Sponsors throughout the season to help keep costs low as we continue through seasons. Here is a list of expenses that we incur on a regular basis. Please remember all coaches and board members are volunteers and are not paid. Time, effort and personal expenses related to GYC Coaches and Board Members are all unpaid. Their time and effort are dedicated to your children every practice and every competition. We also maintain a minimum balance in our account to keep GYC healthy and sustainable for the future. With that said here is a list of our most common expenses, additional expenses may incur throughout the season. If you have questions please reach out to one our Program Director.
- Practice Facility Fees and equipment rental
- Insurance for program with board protection coverage purchased annually. Cost varies based on number of participants.
- Coaches education and certifications required through NFHS and OCCA and any additional training needed
- Oregon Coaches Conference Registration & Lodging
- Background Check Fees
- Crossbar fee paid monthly plus annual fee
- Web Hosting fee paid monthly
- Credit Card Processing & Venmo processing fees.
- Music and Choreography
- Competition fees
- Tumbling fees and non-GYC staff
- Special Event expenses (i.e. Stunt Camp, etc)
- Annual Non-Profit filing fees and taxes
- Attorney Fees for supervising our non-profit actions, status and maintaining accurate records.
- Supplies for clinic, storage, administrative, etc.
- Competition Gear (i.e. backpack, jacket, etc)
- First Aid Kits and replacement ice packs, band-aids, etc
- End of Season supplies (Medals, Decorations, Food, Coaches appreciation gifts)
- Practice Gear (Shorts, T shirts, Sweatshirt)
- Bonding outside practice
- Cheer Bows - 2 to 3 per cheerleader
- Water bottle - customized
**Those items bolded are tangible items that your cheerleader gets to keep as part of her registration fee.
